Patients, visitors and carers

Each ward and department will have its own visiting times - please see the Wards and services alphabetical listing.

We encourage visitors because they are an important part of the recovery process, but we ask that no more than two people visit a patient at any one time.

When visiting please be respectful of other patients and ensure children are supervised.

When not to visit

We ask friends and relatives not to visit patients if they have experienced vomiting or diarrhoea within the last 48 hours or have been in contact with anyone suffering from the symptoms.

We also ask people not to visit patients in hospital if they are suffering from any other infectious disease, such as flu.

Please see Infection control advice.

Patient safety

The safety of our patients, visitors and staff is the cornerstone of everything we do.

We continuously strive to ensure that our practice and procedures are as safe as possible.

To find out more please see 500 Lives.

We welcome feedback from patients and visitors - please see Giving your feedback.
