Car parking at the Great Western Hospital is plentiful but it can get busy during peak times (10.00am-3.00pm).
The Trust operates a green transport policy and we encourage staff and visitors to use alternatives to driving wherever possible.
Drop-off areas are available.
Upon arrival
Please ensure you give yourself time to park on site and find the department or ward you are visiting.
Our visitor car parks include the North, West and Brunel Treatment Centre (BTC).
The North and West car parks are barrier controlled and you will need to press for a ticket upon approaching the car park. You will need to pay for your ticket at one of the pay-on-foot machines located at the North entrance, main atrium area and outside the BTC, prior to returning to your car.
The BTC car park is a pay and display car park. The BTC parking ticket machine operates a coins only payment. Failure to display a valid ticket could lead to a penalty charge notice being issued.
If you're running late
Please try not to worry, we will do our best to ensure you are seen.
If you are able to let us know in advance - and it is safe for you to call - please ring the number on your appointment letter.
Swindon Intermediate Care Centre (SwICC)
Apart from disabled parking, there is no separate parking at SwICC - patients and visitors should use one of the visitor car parks instead.
