We see children in a range of settings, for example:
- During hospital stays on the Children's Unit and Special Care Baby Unit
- In Children's Outpatients
- In telephone clinics
- In community clinics
- In specialist groups
We also offer a home enteral feeding service for children requiring tube feeds.
Children can be referred to the paediatric Dietitian by:
- Their paediatrician
- A GP
- A health visitor
- A school nurse
- A specialist nurse
The types of conditions we see include:
- Food allergies
- Faltering growth
- Obesity
- Feeding difficulties
- Gastrointestinal disorders (e.g. coeliac disease)
