UKAS accreditation
Our Department has been awarded national accreditation for its services by the United Kingdom Accreditation Services after external assessors spent three days assessing the department.
They looked at the quality of the services being offered by the department and based their report around four key domains:
- Patient experience
- Clinical provision
- Safety
- Facilities, resources and workforce
Accreditation was awarded following adherence to 26 standards and 153 supplementary standards that had been identified by the Improving Quality in Physiological Services.
The department also acts as a teaching and training centre for undergraduate and post graduate audiology students.
Our accreditation is limited to those activities described on our UKAS Schedule of Accreditation.
