On Friday, we held our Staff Excellence Awards evening, with over 285 staff coming together to recognise the achievements from colleagues right across the Trust.
The theme was 'a night at the musicals' and we were joined by staff dressed as characters from Grease, Wicked, Great Gatsby and Cats to name a few.
A huge congratulations to all the winners and finalists. The 11 winners were:

- GWH Rising Star Award: Ella Saunders, Trainee Apprentice Cardiac Physiologist
- Hero Award: Beyond the call of duty: Anuja Ravindran, Clinical Practice Educator
- Improving Patient Experience Award: The Meadows
- Sustainability Award: Kathryn Harrison, Midwife
- Leading the GWH Way Award: Natalie Whitton, Specialist Doctor
- Improving Together Award: Never OK Task and Finish Group
- Patient Choice Award: Catherine Edward, Bereavement Midwife
- Lifetime Achievement Award: William McCrea, Consultant
- Team of the Year: Colposcopy team with Gynaecology
- Star of the Year: Riyaad Jondah, Ward Manager
The awards evening included our host, Natasha Wiggins and a DJ set from charge nurse, Tony McCluskey.
