Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is an essential part of who we are and is at the heart of everything we do for our patients and to make our Trust a great place to work.

We are building a welcoming, supportive and inclusive culture in which everyone is valued, respected and supported.

We are working hard to meet the diverse needs of the local communities we serve and strive to ensure that no individual is ever at a disadvantage when it comes to their healthcare or place of work.

As an NHS organisation we have a duty to protect everyone that uses our services or works here, including patients, visitors, staff and volunteers, from any form of discrimination.

The promotion of the Equality Act 2010 throughout the Trust lays the foundations for an environment in which everyone feels able and supported to be their true self.

To achieve this, we follow the principles and guidelines set out in NHS England's EDS2 (Equality Delivery System).

We recognise that there is still more to do and our focus is to further reduce inequalities among our workforce and patient population, improving the experience of all.
