We run an informative but friendly service helping couples who are having difficulty conceiving.
We will provide you with more information about your individual situation to help you make any necessary decisions or choices.
We work alongside the the Oxford Fertility Unit, the Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine, and the Bath Fertility unit; if you are referred for assisted conception, you will be able to move seamlessly into an In vitro fertilisation (IVF) programme.
Locations and appointment times
Most clinics are held in the Women's Health Outpatients department, Great Western Hospital - second floor (please see Floor plan).
The location will always be specified on the appointment letter.
The Wiltshire Fertility Centre is based in Dorcan, Swindon (please see below).
Clinics vary, but new couple appointments will be on a Tuesday afternoon or Thursday morning.
Opening times

What to expect
You and your partner will be invited to meet the Fertility Specialist Nurse at your first appointment, and any test results from investigations that may have been organised by the GP will be reviewed.
We will organise further specialist tests for both partners if necessary and sometimes, where appropriate, treatment may be started.
Depending on your test results, we may refer you or your partner to other departments (e.g. Andrology or Endocrinology) or other centres such as assisted conception units.
If it is necessary, we will make further appointments for and your partner to be reviewed by a consultant.
