Urgent dental care in surgery hours

Dental Access Centres provide NHS dental treatment to Wiltshire and Swindon residents who do not have a regular dentist and are in need of urgent dental care.

The service aims to offer patients with urgent dental pain an appointment within 48 hours.

While the service will always try to offer an appointment as close as possible to the patient's home, it may be necessary to travel in order to see a dentist within 48 hours.

We are not able to offer routine treatment and courses of treatment at this time.

There are Dental Access Centres in these areas:

  • Chippenham
  • Salisbury
  • Central Swindon
  • West Swindon

Appointments

To make an appointment please call the Dental Helpline on 0345 7581926 Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.00pm.

Out of hours, please call NHS 111.

Continued treatment

Patients who attend this service will not be registered for continued treatment and will be given a list of NHS Dental Practices who will be able to provide regular dental care.

Charges

Dental Access Centres will charge for dental treatment in line with NHS Dental Charging Bands - please see the NHS website: NHS dental services explained.
