We support patients who have a suspected or diagnosed urological cancer, including kidney, bladder, prostate, testicular and penile cancer.
The team supports patients by:
- Being a point of contact for you throughout your treatment and on-going care
- Providing emotional support and expert clinical advice
- Referring and signposting to other support services (e.g. psychological, financial, social and community, including support groups)
- Health promotion, education and provision of holistic needs assessments
- Advice and support for living well with cancer and beyond cancer treatment, alongside the Macmillan Personalised Care Team.
Services available at other centres
Patients may be referred to other centres for certain services and treatments, such as:
- Southmead, Bristol: Prostate and bladder surgery
- Bristol: Surgery for complex renal tumours
- Reading/UCLH London: Penile surgery
- Oxford: PSMA PET scan, chemotherapy for testicular cancer
- Reading: Brachytherapy for prostate cancer
- Royal United Hospitals Bath: High intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU)
