We are a team of nurses predominantly specialising in breast cancer.
We support patients who are referred through the NHS breast screening programs, via their GPs, with a suspected cancer, or any patient with a diagnosis of breast cancer.
We have a wide range of responsibilities, which include:
-
Being a point of contact for you throughout your treatment and on-going care
-
Offering emotional support and expert clinical advice
-
Referring and signposting to other support services (e.g. financial, social and community)
-
Health promotion, education and provision of holistic needs assessments
-
Advice and support for living well with cancer and beyond cancer treatment
-
Supporting patients with recurrence and secondary breast cancer
We work closely with our colleagues in Radiology, General Surgery and Oncology to ensure that you are supported throughout all aspects of your treatment.
If you require a replacement prosthesis, please ask your GP to refer you straight to this service.
