Coronavirus (COVID-19) updates

We are now offering face-to-face, telephone and Video consultations.

We are reviewing waiting lists and rebooking patients in order of clinical priority.

You will receive a letter or text message if there are changes to your appointment.

You do not need to contact your GP about your appointment unless you think your condition has got worse.

It's important that you prepare for a virtual appointment, as you would a face-to-face appointment.

Let us know if you do not plan to attend

If you will not be attending your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can give your appointment to another patient.

To cancel or rearrange your appointment:

  1. Call the Booking Centre: 01793 604080
  2. Text CANCEL in response to your text message reminder.

You will receive a text reminder if we have your mobile number. If we do not have your mobile number and you would like to receive a text reminder, call the Booking Centre.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend. Let us know and we will rearrange your appointment.

If you cancel your appointment you may be putting your health at serious risk.

How we are reducing the risk of infection

  • Regular deep cleaning
  • Social distancing
  • Hand hygiene
  • Face masks for patients, visitors and staff
  • Dedicated patient and visitor entrances at the main atrium, the Brunel Treatment Centre and near Boots Pharmacy.

What you need to know before attending your appointment

  • Please do not arrive too early for your appointment as we need to maintain social distancing in waiting areas.
  • You must wear a face mask or covering when entering the hospital. We will provide a face mask if needed.
Some patients, including young children and people with breathing difficulties, may be advised not to wear a mask. Please visit an Advice Point at one of the patient and visitor entrances on arrival.
  • Please wash your hands thoroughly and use the hand gel provided.
  • Please follow the signage and directions displayed throughout the hospital.

We kindly ask that you attend your appointment alone

You may be accompanied by a relative, friend or carer, if:

  • You have a physical or mental disability
  • You are under the age of 16
  • You have been advised by a clinician.

For more information on accompanying others, please see Visitor guidance.

Opening of restaurants

The Refresh Restaurant is open for takeaway service only.

Please use the hand gel provided before entering the restaurant and wear a face mask.
