National careers week

7-12 March 2022

Our Early Years Careers team is supporting our local community by attending careers events throughout the week, including mock interviews, careers fairs and group careers presentations.

NHS cadets

We support the local NHS Cadets.

NHS Cadets is a new programme created in partnership with St John Ambulance and the NHS.

It’s designed to provide you with the opportunity to explore roles in healthcare.

It consists of two pathways:

  • Foundation (for 14-16-year-olds)
  • Advanced (for 16-18-year-olds)

You'll meet with other NHS Cadets on a weekly basis, taking part in activities which will introduce you to a range of exciting healthcare topics.

Sessions will also foster personal development and allow you to build vocational skills.

How to register your interest

Please see NHS Cadets Advanced Programme (16 -18) - Swindon (Wednesday) | SJA NHS Cadets.

Outreach work

We support many other outreach initiatives, including:

  • T-Level placements
  • The Prince's Trust
  • Kickstart
