Take part in Patient-Led Assessment of the Care Environment (PLACE)

We’re looking for people to take part in our annual Patient-Led Assessment of the Care Environment (PLACE) at the Great Western Hospital.
You’ll be part of a team looking at our buildings, cleanliness, food and drink, clinic areas and how the environment meets the needs of patients, from privacy and dignity, to the specific needs of patients with dementia or a disability.
Anyone can volunteer to take part and you’ll receive lunch, free parking and full training. You could be a patient or former patient, a volunteer, a carer, a student or just somebody who wants to support their local NHS.
We are looking for volunteers for:
  • Thursday 16 October
  • Tuesday 21 October
  • Friday 24 October
  • Tuesday 28 October
  • Thursday 30 October
All dates will start at 9.30am.
This is an opportunity for us to better understand how the environment affects the experience of our patients and how we can make improvements.

If you would like further information or would like to take part please email Daniel Purdy daniel.purdy1@nhs.net and Tania Currie tania.currie1@nhs.net
