The Trust has achieved the highest staff flu vaccination uptake among all NHS Trusts in the South West this winter.
Nationally we ranked tenth, delivering over 4,100 vaccines to staff, students, volunteers, and colleagues at Serco. In total, 59 percent of staff received the flu vaccine, either at work or within the community.
This success was made possible through the dedication of teams across the Trust, including Occupational Health and Wellbeing, as well as peer vaccinators. Their hard work running drop-in clinics, bookable appointments, and walkabout sessions helped ensure as many colleagues as possible were protected.
Debbie Denley, Occupational Health Manager and Lead Nurse for Staff Flu Vaccinations, said:
“We’re thrilled to once again be recognised as the top Trust in the South West for staff flu vaccination uptake.
“This achievement is the result of a fantastic team effort across our Trust over the past six months.
“A huge thank you to everyone who stepped forward to protect themselves and our patients from respiratory illnesses.
“We are already preparing for the 2025/26 vaccination campaign.”
