Helping us manage our waiting list

As part of our efforts to ensure we are seeing all our patients as quickly as possible, you may be contacted to fill in a questionnaire related to the care you need.

You may receive a text message and online questionnaire service from our partners at DrDoctor. You should fill out this questionnaire to help us understand whether your care needs have changed and if you still need your appointment with us.

Please respond to our text message by filling in the questionnaire to let us know if you still need your appointment. If you do receive this text message, please do not ignore it - your response is crucially important to help us manage our waiting list.

This programme of work is taking place over several months across most of our specialties. The information you share may help both yourself and others be seen more quickly and is part of our work to enable our patients to support their own healthcare journey.

If you do not receive a message from us, there is nothing you need to do and you do not need to contact us.

How it works

  1. If you are waiting for an appointment, we’ll send you a text message from 07860039092 asking you to respond to an online questionnaire
  2. Follow the link in your message to answer the question about if you need your appointment
  3. You will be asked to login, enter your last name, date of birth and postcode, if you are answering on behalf of someone else, please use the patient’s details
  4. Depending on your response, you will either remain on our waiting list or if requested we will discharge you back to the care team that referred you
  5. Please note your comments will only be used to manage our waiting lists and will not be reviewed by a clinician
  6. If you have a medical problem or concern, and are unsure what to do, please contact your usual healthcare provider (e.g. your GP, pharmacist or NHS 111) directly.
