Following the purchase of the 5.5 hectare plot of land next to Great Western Hospital, plans are underway which will allow us to further develop our services by moving some of them out of the main building.

We are pleased to be working with Prime UK, who will help us to deliver some of these developments, including a staff and student accomodation block, a sterile services unit and a private patients unit. 

The expansion land, located on the south side of the hospital site, will also allow space for a future health campus which could include a rehabilitation facility or mental health unit. 

Moving some services out of the main hospital and onto the expansion land means additional clinical capacity could be freed up in the main hospital too.
