In line with social distancing requirements, the on-site Boots Outpatient Pharmacy is limiting the sale of non-essential retail items.
Food and over-the-counter medicines will still be availble to purchase.
The number of people allowed in store at any one time is limited, and therefore you may be asked to queue outside the store.
These changes are necessary as we work with Boots towards safely increasing the capacity of outpatient prescriptions through the store.
We are grateful for your co-operation as these changes are implemented.
This Pharmacy dispenses Great Western Hospital outpatient prescriptions (including yellow hospital pharmacy prescriptions).
Green FP10 prescriptions from your consultant or GP should be taken to your local community pharmacy/chemist - they cannot be dispensed at the on-site Boots Outpatient Pharmacy. It also sells:
It cannot sell 'over-the-counter' medicines to inpatients or to anyone else buying them on inpatients' behalf.
Great Western Hospital - ground floor, at the West entrance (please see Floor plans).
Relocation - From Monday 22 March, Boots Pharmacy will be running services from a facility located in the west car park.
Temporary closure - Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 March
Where possible, we ask that you wait until Monday 22 March to collect a prescription. If you need to collect an urgent prescription during this weekend, please go to Boots current location where you will be given information on how to collect your prescription.
