Friends and Family Test

The NHS Friends and Family Test is a nationwide initiative to gain feedback from patients about the care and treatment they receive in hospital.

Patients in most areas of the Trust are now handed a card inviting them to answer the simple question:

"How likely are you to recommend our service to your friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?"

You can either complete the card and send it back to us, or answer using an online form - please see Friends and Family Test online.

If you use the online form, you will need to enter the Online ID number which is on the reverse of your card.

Other complaints procedures and feedback

The Friends and Family Test does not replace the NHS complaints procedure or any other forms of giving your feedback.

If you wish to give a compliment, raise a concern or make a complaint please contact the Patient Advice and Liaison (PALS) Team.

How the results are used

Each month, after patients have sent us their views, NHS England publishes the scores for each of our hospital sites on its own website and the NHS website.

We use the results to work with our teams and services across the Trust to see where action is needed and share compliments received with staff.
