Snow update: Appointments going ahead

Posted: March 2, 2018

Patients will be contacted if anything changes

Hospital appointments booked for today (Friday 2 March) are still taking place and patients are asked to come in as normal, where it is safe to do so.

Despite the wintry conditions, staff at the Great Western Hospital are doing all they can to ensure patient appointments are not disrupted by the snow.

There may, however, be some longer-than-usual waits as many of our docotrs and nurses have had to travel long distances in difficult conditions to get to GWH.

Let us know if you can't make it

Should any appointments need to be rearranged for a different date, patients will be contacted by telehphone at the earliest opportunity.

Patients unable to make their appointment are asked to ring the number on their appointment letter and let the clinic know, as this will help teams to see other patients quicker.

Any person requiring emergency care should not put off calling 999 or visiting their nearest Emergency Department.

Keep checking the Trust's Facebook  and Twitter pages, as well as the website, for any further updates.
