On your bike! Raise funds for Brighter Futures

Sign up for the annual Prudential RideLondon event

My Ride London 2020Our charity, Brighter Futures, is asking local people to jump on their bikes - or scooters, skateboards, tandems, penny farthings or unicycles - to raise funds for your local Swindon NHS trust.

The eighth edition of Prudential RideLondon was due to take place on 15 and 16 August 2020, and while the festival can't go ahead as planned, the organisers want to keep the wheels moving and celebrate the event weekend by encouraging people to get on their bikes - or any other non-motorised wheeled transport!

My Prudential RideLondon is your chance to take part in the world's greatest free festival of cycling. Whatever your age or ability, you can join in, wherever you live in the UK and with whoever you like; family, friends or by yourself.

You can pick from 19 miles, 46 miles or 100 miles, or set your own distance to ride, so whether you're a modest rider, in search of a challenge or really want to push yourself, there's something for everyone.

"I took part in the Ride for Radiotherapy in 2017 but haven't really cycled since, so this will be a great way for me to push myself and raise funds for my charity.

"Our staff at the Trust have worked so hard this year, and we really want to encourage local people to continue to show your support by raising as much money as we can."

Michelle Leighton, Community and Events Fundraising Manager, said: "We would love for lots of you to get on your wheels on and join us for this event.

"We had to put a lot of our planned events on hold due to COVID-19, so it's exciting to be able share this challenge with you all and we hope lots of you take it on.

"If you are taking part with family or friends, please remember to follow government guidance by keeping socially distanced and wearing a face mask if necessary.

"Thank you for your continued support to Brighter Futures - the money you raise really does help us to make a difference to our staff, and to purchase state-of-the-art equipment that will improve the experience for all our patients."
