Non-urgent appointments and operations postponed

Posted: April 1, 2020

You will be contacted if your appointment is going ahead

Non-emergency planned operations and other routine appointments have been postponed until further notice.

Please assume that your appointment has been postponed unless you are contacted and told otherwise.

Appointments or operations assessed as being clinically urgent will go ahead as planned, this includes cancer treatment, plaster removal and new fractures and pregnancy ultrasound scans, among other appointments or operations.

You will be contacted at a later date with information about your re-scheduled appointment or operation.

If you have any questions please contact the department directly using the contact details on your appointment letter.

Switching to telephone appointments

To prevent patients visiting hospital for outpatient appointments which could increase the risk of infection, we have switched people's face-to-face outpatient appointments to telephone where possible.

We will contact you in advance if we are changing your appointment in this way. Please let us know at the earliest opportunity if you cannot make your appointment.
