New technology will have massive benefits for patients

A new digital and paper-light care system, which will improve patient safety and quality of care, has been launched across the Trust.

Following a successful bid to the Integrated Digital Care Fund, the Trust has been awarded £1.35 million by NHS England to roll out the Real Time (To) Care Programme.

Clinical staff will now be able to use hand held devices to instantly access patient information while new digital screens will give staff a real-time look at bed availability and ward staffing levels.

The overall aim of the programme is to introduce a modern data entry system, which is easily accessible by all staff at the point of care.

Electronic whiteboards and digital pens are just two of the exciting modifications that will soon be commonplace across the Trust.
