There are three types of governor; please see:
Although these governors are appointed in different ways, all governors have an equal seat at the Council of Governors.
Governors represent the views of Trust Members and so raise questions with or bring issues to the Board of Directors for response or comment.
There are four working groups made up of different governors:
This meets to consider the Trust's budgetary position.
This meets to consider membership engagement projects, strategies and governor's skills and training.
This meets to consider the appointment of non-executive directors.
This meets to consider issues affecting patient safety and quality.
You can get in touch with any of our Governors by contacting the Corporate Governance Administrator (please see below), where your queries or comments will then be forwarded to the relevant Governor.
You must be a Member of the Trust and 18 years or over in order to stand for election as a Governor - please see Becoming a member.
You must stand for election in the constituency in which you reside.
Please see Becoming a governor.
You can find out who your Governor representatives are by looking below and finding the area you live in.
For example, if you live in Swindon, you will be represented by our Swindon Governors.
If you live in Calne, you will be represented by one of our Wiltshire Governors.
If you are a staff member or a volunteer, then you should contact one of our staff representatives.
