Come along to pick up a purchase and support your local hospital at the same time.

Handbag Amnesty 2Following the success of Brighter Futures' handbag amnesty which took place at the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet earlier this year, the team are thrilled to announce that they will again be partnering with the shopping centre for a third time.

The event, which raised nearly £3,000 for Brighter Futures back in February, will run again this weekend, 7-8 September. Shoppers are invited to stop by the pop-up shop in the Outlet where they will be able to purchase bags, scarves and purses, with all proceeds going to the charity.

Due to the high volume of generous donations received for the last amnesty, the local community do not need to donate any items but are encouraged to go along and pick up a new purchase.

Michelle Leighton, Community and Events Fundraising Manager at Great Western Hospitals, said: "We are so excited to once again be working with the McArthurGlen Swindon Outlet on the Handbag Amnesty. This is a really good event which raises funds to improve the services and care we provide to the residents of Swindon and further afield who visit our hospital."

In addition to the array of handbags available to purchase, bag brand Paul Costelloe have gifted a handbag that can be won by purchasing raffle tickets at the pop-up shop on Saturday. The company will also be offering an exclusive discount to shoppers who visit the Handbag Amnesty, to spend in Paul Costelloe over the weekend.
