Brighter Futures event kicks off at 10.30am on Sunday 8 July

Brighter Futures is hosting an action packed Fun Day on Sunday 8 July, in celebration of the 70th birthday of the NHS.

There will be something for everyone at the free event, which is being held at Swindon Rugby Club, Greenbridge, from 10.30am-4.30pm.

Bouncy castles and children's games, sand art, glitter tattoos and face painting, tombola and raffles, a Disney Meet and Greet, and a variety of stalls are just some of the attractions on offer at Sunday's event.

Add to that a barbecue, refreshments and a bar and you've got a great day out for the whole family.

And as if that wasn't enough, 15 teams of staff from across Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will be going head to head in a special World Cup style six-a-side football tournament. Watch and cheer along as X-Ray-Al Madrid take on Queens Path Rangers and The IT Guys pit their wits against The Physio Girls, with the first kick-off at 10.30am.

Catherine Newman, Head of Brighter Futures, said: "Please come and join us on Sunday for what will be a fantastic day out for all the family.

"This is the first time we've held a staff football tournament and the timing of it couldn't be better. Not only will it be in the midst of World Cup fever, but it will also be a fantastic way to mark the 70th birthday of the NHS!"

While entry and parking are free on the day, all proceeds from the event will go to the Trust charity.
