Return to Acute Care and Return to Community Care courses 

These free courses are designed for qualified nurses interested in taking the next step in their career at the Great Western Hospital or in our community nursing teams in Swindon. 

You'll need to be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council with an active PIN and be working in another health or social care setting, such as a care home, school or private company.

Return to Acute Care course

This free course is designed for qualified nurses interested in starting a career at the Great Western Hospital.

We are looking for both adult and children's nurses.

Return to Community Care course

This free course is designed for qualified nurses interested in starting a career within our community healthcare services in Swindon.

We are looking for adult nurses.

What's involved

The 14-week courses will bring you up to date with the latest changes and best practice in nursing.

They involve one day a week of either theory or clinical placement, with the full support of an experienced mentor.

On completion, you will have the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to apply for nursing roles throughout the Trust. 

The course runs throughout the year, which means there are only ever a few weeks before the next start date.
