Savernake Community Hospital

Savernake Community Hospital is a modern purpose built community hospital.


The Trust provides these services at the hospital:

  • Ailesbury Ward - we look after patients who have been referred to the ward by a GP or hospital doctor. Our multidisciplinary team will provide care and support to help you return home.
  • Outpatient clinics - we provide outpatient clinics for:

    • Audiology
    • Paediatrics
    • Dermatology
    • Dietetics
    • Gastroenterology
    • General Surgery
    • Gynaecology
    • Podiatry
    • Physiotherapy
    • Ophthalmology
    • Orthopaedics
    • Rheumatology
    • Urology
  • The Mobile Chemotherapy Unit visits the hospital every Thursday.
  • The hospital is also a base for the Neighbourhood Team (team of nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists who treat patients who are unable to leave their homes), Health Records, School Nurses.

The cafe has a patio and garden which is open Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.00pm.


The shop sells:

It's open Monday to Friday, 9.30am-3.30pm.

A trolley from the shop visits Ailesbury Ward every morning.

This service is provided by the Friends of Savernake Hospital.


The hospital is supported by the Friends of Savernake Hospital, a voluntary organisation founded in 1958 by a group of public-spirited citizens of Marlborough to provide support to what was then the two hospitals in Marlborough.


The hospital has on-site pay and display car parking.
