In the early days following a stroke we encourage the
patient to be independent, which can be frustrating as they find
ways of adapting.
Feeding is a specialist part of stroke care;

To help keep you comfortable during your stay, we encourage your
relatives to bring in slippers, toiletries etc.
We suggest that you do not bring valuables into hospital.
Please ensure dentures, hearing aids and reading glasses are in
suitably named containers.
There are no clothes washing facilities on the ward.
