Frequently Asked Questions

What will happen at the appointment?
On arrival at the clinic, your child will be booked in, have their height and weight measured and you will then wait for the consultation with the clinician.

After your consultation you may be sent for a blood test or sent to book an appointment with radiology or you may simply be discharged back to the care of your GP.

Any future appointments to see your clinician again will be sent to you in the post.

What if my child needs a blood test?
Blood testing, on the 3rd floor, is open from 9.00am-4.00 pm Monday to Friday. Your child can be seen there and will, if necessary have numbing treatment to their injection site so that they do not feel any pain.

Why is my appointment delayed?
Our clinic appointment times are set but due to the nature of any one person's medical condition, there may be occasions when the appointment time is extended and this will cause an unavoidable delay.

Who will I see at my appointment?
You will be seen by either one of our Consultants or a member of their medical team.
