Swindon Renal Unit

SAU

The Swindon Renal Unit provides a local service to patients requiring renal replacement therapy (kidney dialysis).

The service offers haemodialysis which is carried out on site and in the patient's home (home haemodialysis) and peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) which is also carried out in the patient's own home.

The Swindon Renal Unit is a satellite of Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust but resides on site at the Great Western Hospital.

All medical and nursing staff are employed by Oxford but we work in close collaboration with the Great Western Hospital to provide a comprehensive service to patients.

We offer a comprehensive outpatient service within a well-run and pleasant environment supported by our host hospital and overseen by Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust, which is a large teaching hospital at the forefront of research and development.
