Our Cancer Research Team, established in 2001/2002 and a partner within the National Cancer Research Network (NCRN), provides a portfolio of Randomised Controlled Trials, Genetic and other well designed, ethically approved studies to all eligible adult cancer patients.
The team's ongoing success is testament to their efforts to provide a balanced portfolio of clinical studies and ensuring that quality of patient care is central to their objectives. The team is now involved with over forty national/international studiesand has been cited as one of the best performing teams within the Thames Valley Cancer Network (TVCRN) for the last four years.
No study on the portfolio provides any patient with anything less that what is already considered to be best practice in terms of clinical management, but most studies provide additional treatment options that would not normally be available. Since its inception, the team have successfully recruited over one thousand adult cancer patients into an approved clinical trial.
