This is in line with national guidance on smoke-free
environments in hospitals and supports the Trust's commitment to
reduce the risks of smoking for everyone.
It also reflects a Mori opinion poll, which found that 96% of
people want smoking to be banned in NHS hospitals.
The British Medical Association estimates that at least 11,000
people die in the UK each year as a result of passive smoking.
