buildings, entrances and hospital grounds.

visitors on Trust premises - both inside and outside.
The policy complies with national guidance on smoke-free
environments in hospitals and supports the Trust's commitment to
reduce the risks of smoking for everyone.
Our policy reflects public support highlighted in a Mori opinion
poll, which found that 96% of people want smoking to be banned in

smokers themselves, the British Medical
Association estimates that at least 11,000 people die in the UK
each year as a result of passive smoking.
