If you have a disability and are coming to the hospital for an appointment, please let the clinic you are attending know before you attend so that we can discuss what support you may need when you come in for your appointment.
Assistance in helping you to get to your appointment is available from all of the hospital's main entrances, please ask at the nearest reception desk if you require help or further information.
If you are dropping off or collecting a patient from hospital and require a wheelchair, please ask for assistance at the nearest reception desk. A £1 coin is required to release a wheelchair, which will be returned.
Public disabled parking spaces are provided close to the entrances of all buildings on the Great Western Hospital site - outside the main entrance and outside the entrance to the Brunel Treatment Centre. These parking spaces are not barrier protected and users must display a valid Blue Badge at all times.
There is no charge for parking in these areas and there is no length of stay restriction in place.
If you find that all the disabled parking spaces are full, please park in the main patients and visitors car parks to the front of the hospital. Show your Blue Badge at the main restaurant and you will be able to claim a free pass for the car park for that day.
