people in the right places at the right time.
Senior sisters and matrons review staffing levels on a daily
basis and will move nurses to different wards as needed to ensure
all wards can maintain a high quality of care.
This information is presented in a number of ways:
Display boards in all of our wards show the planned and actual
staffing levels at the start of every shift.
The monthly Board Report provides information on the actual
number of staff on each ward, compared to planned staffing
numbers, highlights areas where staffing needs to be improved, and
explains what we plan to do.
The bi-annual Staffing Review shows the planned staffing levels
which have been agreed by the Board for the next six months.
