As a Foundation Trust we are regulated by Monitor - the independent regulator of Foundation Trusts in England. They oversee and monitor the Trust against our terms of authorisation looking at quality and financial matters. Monitor is accountable to Parliament and has intervening powers, to ensure that the Trust does not act outside of our Terms of Authorisation. Monitor regularly issue 'risk ratings' on finance and governance and publish these on their website.
As a healthcare provider we are also regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). They regulate care provided by all NHS, local authorities, private companies and voluntary organisations in England. Their role is to ensure the care provided meets certain defined standards and we are required to register as a provider of healthcare with the CQC who have granted us a licence to operate without any conditions attached.
Full details of what services we are licensed to provide and other reports issued by the CQC about the Trust are accessible on the CQC website.
All our reports are available in PDF format. You can download a free copy of the Adobe Reader here. Please be patient when downloading these documents, as some of these are large in size.
