Events planned for National Volunteers Week

This week is National Volunteers' Week and the Trust is marking it by staging a series of information events to explain to staff, patients and visitors about the integral role volunteers play within the Trust.

A volunteer recruitment day will be held in the Academy at GWH on Saturday 6 June from 10.00am to 2.00pm where Voluntary Services Manager, Carol Orrow, will give presentations at 10.15am, 11.45am and 1.15pm about what volunteering with the Trust involves.

People will have the chance to apply to be a volunteer and they would then be offered an interview date.

Staff will also be on hand with an information board about volunteering at Warminster Community Hospital today (Monday 1 June) from 10.00am to 2.00pm and by the restaurant at Chippenham Community Hospital on Friday June 5.

The Trust welcomes volunteers who are aged 16 or over and who are able to commit to three hours a week for a minimum of six months.

There is a variety of volunteer placement opportunities across the Trust which are currently available.
