Junior doctors' strike called off

Posted: December 1, 2015

Instructions for your appointment

The junior doctors' strike planned for today (Tuesday 1 December), and two further dates in December, has been called off.

Further talks between the BMA and the Government are planned.

Having already made plans to ensure safe care during the strike, some routine operations have had to be postponed. Patients are advised that these are still postponed and those affected will be contacted at the earliest opportunity with a new date.

Patients needing emergency treatment and women in labour should attend as normal.

Please be aware of your local healthcare options

A visit to the pharmacist is a good first step, but there are also services which provide urgent healthcare outside of normal GP opening hours.

Make a note of your  Healthcare options!
