Help us reach our Breast Cancer Appeal target

Posted: November 4, 2014

Four events to enjoy and raise money

Help us raise the remaining £10,000 of the Brighter Futures new breast cancer treatment appeal by taking part in one or more of our winter fundraising events!

Everyone knows that winter is the season of goodwill and we would like to encourage as many people as possible to support our cause and help women across Swindon and Wiltshire who are suffering from breast cancer.

Every penny raised during the appeal will go towards funding a new breast cancer treatment which zaps the tumour with radiotherapy during the operation, removing the need for the patient to make multiple journeys to Bath or Oxford for radiotherapy treatment.

'Overwhelming'

Jen Green, Head of Fundraising, said: "The enthusiasm and the generosity from the people of Swindon and the surrounding areas has been overwhelming. It's really all down to the little things that people are doing to help in the community.

"We're really feeling very positive to have reached £65,000. There is still more work to do but at this stage we are quite happy with our progress. We have lots of other fundraisers planned throughout the autumn and winter too."

Jen continued: "It's just been overwhelming how so many people have got behind the campaign."
