Sainsbury's in Wootton Bassett kick-off fundraising for SCBU

Store selects SCBU at GWH as their charity of the year

Sainsbury's supermarket in Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, has chosen the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at GWH as their charity of the year to raise money for.

They will be launching their fundraising drive this Friday 17th August at the store.  Colleagues will be paying £1 on the day and wearing pink or blue. 

Bag packing
There will also be bag packing between 10am-2pm, if you would like to volunteer or bring your children along to help out, just pop along to the store on the day.

There will be competitions as well such as:

Guess the name of the teddybear for Sainsbury's colleagues and customers - just 50p a go, if you get the name right, you win the teddy!

Guess how many sweets in the jar for Sainsbury's colleagues and customers - just 50p a go, if you get the amount right you win the sweets, perfect if you have a sweet-tooth!

Guess the baby for Sainsbury's colleagues, all of the staff at the store in Wootton Bassett have brought in a baby photo of themselves in a sealed envelope with their name on.  They will be able to pay £1 a go to guess which baby is which - whoever gets the most correct will win a £10 voucher.

Many of the colleagues who work in the store have had experienced the care provided by the Special Care Baby Unit at GWH, be this the care provided to a their own children or that of family and friends.

This Friday 17th August colleagues will be talking to customers about why they have chosen SCBU to raise money for and about their own experiences.
